We have been talking about animals for the past week or two. We made a tree map of the different types of animals (pets, wild, exotic, farm, ocean).
I used post it notes so I could use the same chart with my second group. Many students got confused with wild and exotic animals. I kept reminding them that wild animals can be seen outside when we go to parks or on nature walks. Exotic animals are animals we only see in zoos because they are from other countries. They did really well with the other types of animals.
