After doing a few problems together I gave each table a different problem. Some were addition and some were subtraction. Students drew a picture in their math journals to help them solve the problem. Most of my kids were able to do this on their own.
We are going to switch problems throughout the week. I love when I can do something simple like this and use it all week!
